Skills required: double crochet (bag is crocheted in the back loop), slip stitch, magic loop, carrying yarn (tapestry style) whilst you crochet with another colour.  Video clips available for additional stitches required.

This striped version of the bobble beach bag is designed by me and is designed for the wonderful Ribbon XL and a small amount of Zpagetti from Hoooked (you could try using super chunky/yarn designed for 8mm hook instead - be aware your finished bag may measure differently).  Here's THREE fabulous reasons to make this bag with this yarn:

1. You will be practising the mindful hobby of crochet

3. You'll be saving yarn scraps from landfill! 

This is a great holiday project - something to keep you occupied on the beach PLUS you have a very roomy beach bag to use, once finished!

It can also be made into a handy basket, as it has been crocheted in the round - just either remove the strap or tuck it inside. Pack in your beach essentials, take it souvenir shopping and even out to dinner (to tuck that cardy in until you need it - especially if you're planning a British holiday)!

Approx finished bag measurements (without handles): height above circular base=28cm; base=32cm diameter; widest point of bag=46cm; width at bag opening=38cm.

This pattern requires a hook, size 8 mm (depending on your tension).
